Ravet – First Storefront Success

Thecha Vadapav officially stepped out from the cloud kitchen and onto the streets of Ravet in mid-2024, and what an opening it was! From the moment we lifted the shutters at our first public outlet (opposite D.Y. Patil College Road), droves of food lovers swarmed in. The aroma of sizzling vada pav patties and garlic thecha filled the air, drawing in college students, local families, and even curious passersby who had heard the buzz. Lines formed around the block as hundreds came to get a taste – we actually sold out our first day’s batch in just a few hours! It was a spicy grand success that warmed our hearts. Ravet welcomed us with open arms (and hungry stomachs!), proving that our leap from delivery-only to a real storefront was the right move.

This outlet isn’t just special for being the first physical store – it also marked the beginning of our close-knit community of customers. We saw college friends huddled around our stall, happily chomping on vada pavs between laughs, and tech park employees dropping by after work to grab snacks for their commute home. We even introduced a few new menu twists for Ravet, like our cheese-topped Thecha Vada Pav and refreshing masala tak (buttermilk), which quickly became crowd favorites. The feedback was amazing: “best vada pav in town!” one student exclaimed, while a local auto driver told us our thecha chutney was “just like my village home makes, pura jhakaas!” (truly awesome). It felt like all of Ravet had embraced us as part of their daily routine.
